COVID-19 Position Statement

My heart is moved with compassion for our members and friends on the front lines of providing childcare during the COVID-19 pandemic. We all realize that childcare is a vital part of essential services supporting our nation’s workforce in the communities in which we operate. Our mission is and always has been to provide a safe, secure, loving environment for the children entrusted to our care. Nothing could be more important than fulfilling that mission at the highest level possible on a daily basis. The clarity of that goal is foundational to supporting one another during this time of such uncertainty.

As we prayerfully move forward, continuing to provide that safe place for children, be reminded and assured that we do not struggle in this alone. Our God always draws near when we need Him the most. I want to personally encourage you to remember His promise that He never slumbers or sleeps as He watches over His own. God intends for us to fully rest in his hope in pledging, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you!” (Hebrews 13:5).

Let me encourage you to use the presence of the Lord Jesus in your lives to still the fears of children and parents. When we walk in the peace and confidence that only the Holy Spirit can give, we become a confident light in darkness and a radiant hope for the anxious. Remember, the adults in a child's world determine the success of those children in so many ways. In this unprecedented situation, be the walking, talking example teachers and parents need to understand how important their calm approach is in making their children feel safe and loved.

In addition to being an example of His peace, we are called by our great God to be responsible, law-abiding citizens. New mandates and rules are being announced daily that affect our industry. Be diligent to operate with deference and obedience to those in authority over us so that we continue to experience God's blessing in our lives. Romans 13:1 tells us that everyone must submit to governing authorities, for all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.
Let’s continue to pray for our centers, our communities, our states, and our country. God never promised our journey would be easy, but He has promised to walk with us along that journey, and He never fails to keep His word.  He will be faithful through this time of turbulence.

Let’s Keep Looking Up!
